Surgery went well!!
Hello! This is Emily, Jamie's wife! Jamie asked me to write you all because he tried to and kept falling asleep! Jamie's surgery went great! The doctor said it went just like he wanted it to and that "it was an easy one!" We were very happy to hear that so Jamie's mother and I went to lunch while he was in the recovery room. He was supposed to be in there about an hour.
We came back and waited; however, an hour and forty-five minutes passed and he still was in the recovery room. The nurse said they were having trouble regulating his pain. He spent 2 hours in the recovery room and when he finally came into his room, he was still in a lot of pain. He said, "Morphine sucks!" His pain didn't subside until he received a second dose of a pain medicine he can only have every six hours.
He has been up walking around twice and is resting peacfully now. He felt good enough to have the girls come up for a visit. We didn't think he would feel up to it; however, he really wanted to see them! They each picked out a get well balloon with a card. Rose's (our 7 year old) was Sponge Bob Square Pants with a note that said, "Hope you feel better!" Grace's (our 4 year old) had bandaids and the note said "F." That is the letter she is working on this week in preschool!
Hope everyone is doing well!
P.S. Those white thigh highs are just too sexy!!
