Last Dr. Visit before surgery
I go here in about a hour. Then I have my surgery set for Wednesday morning at 10:30. I did not have to do a 2 week liquid diet like some recent people had to do. I cant really say that im nervous yet. Just extremely excited. I read today on foxnews.com it had a where are they now on Biggest looser show and was showing how most of them have gained the weight back. Maybe thats not the ideal situation that I always thought of before. Being in a place where you just work out. No work no faimly just eating right and excercise. I guess they do not prepare them for the life after the show.
I wish you an uneventful surgery, quick recovery, and ultimate success.
Thank you for your post about the biggest loser. I don't know if you saw my post a while back about my feelings of worthlessness at the feeling that I couldn't do this without WLS. The guys here brought up the same point. There is not a cure all to weight loss. Biggest Loser can help you lose a mass amount of pounds just like the WLS can. The thing everyone needs to remember, especially myself, is that following such a transformation, you must be ready to pick up where it left off.
Recently, my wife (1 year out from WLS) went back to the surgeon. Surgeon told her that the surgery has done all it can do. It is now up to her to up her exercise and tweak her diet.
For me, the WLS is a tool. A tool that when combined with a sensible diet (following orders) and exercising more, I will be able to lose and keep it off.
I don't yet have a date, but I feel confident, that when I do, I will be able to succeed with this.
Again, many wishes of success for you.

Thanks, Im sure you will succeed. Im looking at this as a cant fail. As in I cannot fail myself. I owe it to me,my family and my health. Good luck to you. By the way. I had been on a diet the last two weeks and was going to go out to eat tonight as a last hooorah but they put me on a liquid diet starting now. So no last steak for me
The funny thing was it was like when I quit chewing. I was like ok this is my last can. Actually I bought like 5 cans and was like this is it. I wrapped my head around it and said goodbye. That is what I planned to do with my last meal. Looking forward to that steak. Now I just have to wrap my head around now it the timel. I feal better about just sleeping. Thanks guys, Im bringing the laptop to the hosp. WIll update there.
