I got away from cereal after WLS.  Pouch wont take the grains and fluids together.  I eat tuna, left overs, FF milk and fruit.  Maybe some of the 1-2 yr guys can answer this.

I have read some of the ladies on the RNY board mention eating Koshi Go Lean.  AKA:  Koshi Go Poop.  Check with you NUT. and see what he/she says.  If you have become lactose post op you may have to do like friend of mine does when she eats cereal - use a spoon with holes in it.  Gets enough milk to make it soggy but not enough to make her sick.  "Recycles" the milk onto her grandchild's ceral or just toss it out.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Suggest lactaid milk to her.  It solved my intollerance problem and it tastes like milk because it is milk.

Instead of milk, many post-ops are lactose intolerant (if they weren't before) ..  Use soy milk instead (be sure and pick the "no sugar-added" or lowest sugar variety, as some have a lot added!   )

I personally eat lots of cereal in the morning.   I try to find high fiber, high protein, low sugar kinds.  I have been working out a lot though and need the energy.  I also like eggs, and still have protein shakes for breakfast ast well.  Sometimes, I go for high fiber bread with peanut butter or something.

I eat Kay's Bariatric Cereals -- 9 grams of protein and tastes just like Cheerios or Apple Jacks

I started out with skim milk doing something similar to the spoon with hole bit.  However, based on a suggestion I read here, I'm now eating it mixed in with yogurt.

I have used this in the past and loved it. I stopped using it because of the price. They have it at Drug Emporium where I live. I now use the Kashi Go Lean High Protein. If you are going to buy it, it is cheaper to buy the big box and measure out a serving.

I use the Kashi Go Lean (not crunch) and instead of milk use low-carb yogurt.  It's not original - the idea came from someone on the list a few months ago who also adds blueberries, milled flaxseed, and applesauce.  I sometimes add the first two but haven't used applesauce with it.

That was me.

I started out just cereal and yogurt and have added the other stuff over time trying to get more fruit and fiber and the benefits of each thing I added. Had it for breakfast this morning.

For any one that is doing a lot of working out you will need carbs and this is a great way to get it and protein. I do a lot of running and try to get good carbs. With that being said I am almost three years out so my diet is going to differ from what yours might be.
