Stalls? Veterans Weigh In!
For the past two weeks my weight has been stuck at 284 pounds.
I'm six months and one week out from surgery and I've lost 165 pounds so far. I'd still like to lose another 84 pounds, hopefully in the next 5 or 6 six months.
I've been reading some posts and just being awe inspired at the guy who've lost well over 250 pounds in 9 months and some in 14 months. And I'd really like to be one of those guys.
So, are stalls normal (especially for guys)? Anyone have any advice on how to break it? I work out hard 6 days a week and my diet hasn't changed. Between the surgery, the working out, and the limited portions, I'm not sure I can muster to the strength to fight against my obesity any harder.
Any advice is damn welcomed. It's sucks not seeing the scale move after 6 solid months of dropping.
Thanks.

I concur with the response above. If you're working out any at all you probably need at least 12 - 1400 calories per day to stay out of starvation mode.
In answer to your other question, I lost exactly 200 (455 - 255) in almost exactly 11 months. I held at -200 for another 2 months or so and then rebounded 10 lbs over the next 3 months. I gained 15 lbs this summer, but it wasn't due to rebound weight, rather it was due to being lazy and not working out much at all. I've lost 6 lbs over the past 3 wks by working my ass off.

The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
