i love soy.  Its all I use in shakes.  I happened to be in the dollar store yesterday and saw they had it.. so i stocked up on it.

I have so much protein powder its insane..

I went absolutely crazy buying protein powder pre-op to make sure I would have it  -- then once I left the liquid phase post-op I haven't found I needed all that much powder.  I'm trying to make an occasional shake to use it up, but getting protein hasn't been the issue I expected it to be.

What I've gone to in place of powder are the Protein brand bars available at Sam's Club - 30g of protein per bar, and it really does the job as a meal replacement when I'm on the go, especially at breakfast time.

Brian I was the same way. I bought a lot so I would have it on hand. I bought 6 flavors before I realized all I had to get was the unflavored and flavor it myself.. alot cheaper and dont have to worry about what the taste would be like...

there are hundreds of examples of what cookies & cream and peanut butter should taste like...

Be careful with soy milk, though ..  Some of them have a LOT of added sugar in them ..    Try to get the "unflavored", or "vanilla" variety if the former is unavailable.    Check the nutrition label carefully ..  The low sugar ones only have like 2 or 3 grams of sugar in them, whereas the others have many times that amount ..    If you need it a bit sweeter, add some Spleda or Equal to it ..

I stick to Lactaid milk.  The sugars are easier to digest and I found that if I drink the whole milk I get the fats that my body needs and my post opp diet lacks.
