I am in quarantine

Dina and I had to go to the doctor yesterday because we have been coughing, sore throat, and just feeling lousy. When I made my appointment they had us come at closing time and wait out in the car until all the other patients had left. I went in and they all had masks and gloves on.

My doc tested us for swine flu and wouldn't give us any antibiotics until the results come back. I was told that would be Friday at the earliest. We were going camping at Sebastion Inlet for some serious fishing this labor day weekend. I guess that's out the window now.
 
I've also had to put my walking/jogging routine on hold for now.

Mike its floating all around central Indiana   the same symptoms you are having. Sorry for the quaratined. Its a scarey year ahead for us im afraid but of course the media doesnt help things by blowing it out of the water. Drink the liquids and rest up!

Here's hoping for the best possible outcome and the shortest possible healing time.  Maybe you can still get in a little fishing if these precautions turn out to be unnecessary.

This is going to be an interesting winter!!  We are going up to Montana State (Bozeman) to see our daughter in the dorms there this next week.  I decided to bring some Pedilite, Imodium AD and a can of chicken vegetable soup.  We can't really nurse her from 1000 miles away...so planning ahead.  It's scary.  Get well.

Mike, hope it comes back negative.  This H1N1 is getting alot of attention.  Still havent got my shots and I maybe considered an at risk person.

I really don't think it's swine flu. The only symptoms we have is a cough. Our lungs are clear and we have no fever. But since we both work at UCF and we have about 100 students diagnosed with swine flu the doctor is being extra careful. She called us today and told us to start on antbiotics and if the test does show we have SW she'll change our medicine's.

We are getting stir crazy here.

Funny a year ago if I was told to stay home and rest you couldn't pry me off the couch with a crow bar.
