Today I lost a friend to freakin cancer. Dom was always very kind and supportive to me, out of everyone in a certain group that has hurt me in one way or another, Dom never did. He was a good friend and I'll miss him. The last thing he always said was "you be good". Come to think of it, I don't think I ever heard him swear.  I have another friend that was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer, also in that same circle. And I have become friends witha woman that is so full of breast cancer she should have been dead long ago. Her courage is amazing.
I HATE  CANCER!
I saw my oldest brother die from cancer at age 51 ( a year after loosing mom) and it was a horrible death. How my brother suffered, and now I'm dealing with it with 3 people!!!!!
Sorry to be a downer, but I just needed to vent a little.

I feel you Bro.  I lost my Mother and Sister to cancer.  In my line of work I see the effects of cancer almost everyday.  It sucks...plain and simple.  Some patient will come in complaining of a headache, I'll put them in the MRI machine and in just a few minutes I'm looking at a baseball sized tumor sitting it their brain that they don't know that's there.  When I get them out of the machine I have to look them in the eyes and act like I didn't see a thing.  It's the Doctors responsibility to give them the news.  Anyway, cancer has taught me to appreciate my blessings and to take nothing for granted.  Everytime I pray the first thing that I do is thank God for all of my blessings and I pray for good health.  Hang in there.

My sympathies for your loss.  I hope many of us support our local Relay for Life, an American Cancer Society program, by volunteering, attending, or buying a luminary in memory of any loved one who has lost the battle with cancer.

Cancer totally sucks ass. There's no other way to put it. I've lost my grandmother and three friends to the ******* and two weeks ago my best friend started Chemo.

Vent on, dude. That's what a support group is for.

No ****  I lost my dad to cancer when I was 12.  Then 5 years ago they told me I had the same cancer he had.  I thought it was a death sentence.  Luckily they caught it early enough with me, it was removed and I have been clean and free ever since.  It's a scary deal, very much the boogey man.  I was so scared for my family and for the unknown that was waiting for me.

Hang in there and be supportive for your friends, it's the best thing you can do.

Scott
