Overheard by a motivational speaker

I had to go to our school's all-staff meeting today to do a plug for an upcoming bond issue.  I followed the keynote speaker, and he was talking about his struggles with weight and self-esteem (although he was not a WLS patient).  He threw up one thought on a slide that makes a lot of sense to me and might provide me some motivation to get back on the planned exercise schedule:

"Would you rather exercise one hour a day or be dead 24 hours a day?"

Every man is born terminal. The only thing we can hope to influence is the quality of out existence, the duration is never guaranteed.

I knew there was a reason Dina gets upset whenever I try to skip a day. The key word is try. She usually convinces/coerces me to do it. Now we are joining a gym on campus. Good thing it's free for staff.

Damn Nick, you sure know how to put a kabash on hopes for my tomorrow.
Exercise is the key.  I wish I had the legs to run but I am a gym rat and bike pusher.
I was fat and I'am not going back.
Good luck

working out an hour a day.... blah, lol I just jumped back on track we had a few weeks of humidity. Could not ride or work out much. Now back at it...

I was doing to much to fast and the body lets you know who's the boss.
