Stalls
Just curious to as what percent of people really started stalling at the 5-6 month mark.. and if so how long... Weight loss has been PAINFULLY slow as of lately and I'm hoping it's not due to my eating. I know it's part of the process and I'm going to beat this horse to death until the scale starts moving again... it seems like I lost maybe 5 pounds in the past month?
5-6 months out seems to be where most men have their longest stall. It seems much worse than it is because up until that point the weight has been melting off without much effort. From here on out it will be more work (exercise) to get the reults you got early on.
A good tip that I got from my NUT was that we need simple carbs before a workout to keep our body out of starvation mode. She suggested a glass of milk or a Kashi bar before working out and protien after the workout to maximise the calorie burn and muscle rebuild.

my physical activity has been seriously upgraded since surgery... But most of it is around a home renovation project. I'm still doing my 2 times a week water aerobics class, but on top of that I'm doing a ton of physical work at home.
I just bought a set of dumbells to work on my arms (the skin is working my nerves) just need to figure out what to do with them (don't laugh)
I can't get over that nagging feeling of "thats all folks"

Tony, I feel your pain. However, I have gained a little. The first 7 mos was easy. Stand, breath, eat and it dropped off. My surgern noticed that I ramped up my gym work and I was adding lean . It seems for me that my hugh losses are over. I have to work extra hard for the last 35lbs. Dont mind. I needed a sound workout routine and the decipline to maintain it. Will see at my 1 yr point. Oh, I'am on a 1900 cal need and my gym workouts need to burn 1200. This is a must to keep losing.
Good luck
