After the wls surgery did you guys notice a decline in your every day body temperature.I know every where is different like here in florida it is always so friggin hot for most of the year.Basiclly do you sweat more or less frequent before wls surgery or after.I know it is an odd question but please entertain me.Thanks as always.

I still sweat, but not as easily or as much as before surgery. I also get cold much easier now that I have lost over 215 pounds. One thing I have noticed is that the humidity really zaps me much quicker now.

I am with Bob on this one. I have a harder time keeping warm since my surgery. I certainly tolerate heat better and sweat as readily. I haven't though paid much attention as to how humidity affects me.

Man - I have never been so cold in my life!  I'm at almost 16 months post-op, and I find myself freezing a lot of the time.  I wear long sleeves to my office most every day because the A/C will run me out... I even keep a sweatshirt at my desk for the days that it's just intolerable.   If the temp outside is below 90, I can't really stand to be in the pool any more.

A big change from the sweaty, hot person I've always been, but ultimately well worth the discomfort for all the positive changes that have come along with it...

Good luck with your journey!

Early out I wore sweat shirts and turned the water heater up.  Now, I seem to be normal, however we keep the thermostat around 78-79 I will see this fall If I'am going to be a shivering WLS'er. No mas, I'll be alot less shivering WLS'er

I'm over 4 years post op from my revision and I feel cold when it's about 76 degrees in the house.  My wife is in her mid 50s and she feels warm at the same temp.  Part of my problem is post WLS and part of it is having a wife going through change of life (female problems).  Actually, I see this conflict with many of my contemporaries and their spouses.  We usually just have to bundle up a bit because our wives are not going to take more clothing off in the house.

In late September and early October the guys at my archery club take bets on if I am wearing long underwear yet or not, the yes bets have won every time.  We are not as well insulated as we used to be.  My fingers are always cold, I think WLS turns us into women.  LOL

I can tolerate the heat here in Florida better after WLS. I have turned the thermostat up to 78 and am even cold at that. My hands and feet are always cold now and I wear long pants. I used to always wear shorts year round.
