diet fizzy drinks
At 3 months out the NUT told me it's OK to have diet pop if you either get the fizz out or drink it very slowly in small quanities. I drink one or two 4 to 6 oz servings a week (with lots of ice in it). I sip, sip, sip. A small serving is enough for me now. Before wls I could easy drink 16 to 20 oz serving at a time and in just a few minutes.
I fill the blender with diet 7-Up and pulse it for a while before letting 'er rip.
It's funny HOW MUCH carbonation is in solution. It took way more blending than I expected to get it flat! Then I pour it back into the empty 2-liter bottle and chill it in the fridge.
Not ideal...but I sometimes get crazy-bored with what I'm eating and drinking and need some variety!

I do and have for 3 years. I love diet Red Bull; diet Rockstar and generally all diet energy drinks.
90% of what I drink is water ( non carbonated ); Always speak with your Dr.; if you decide to test the waters" listen to your body".
What works for me may not work for anyone else; be good to yourself !

I'd say it depends on what your doctor says, and the type of surgery you had. I had the DS, and there is no restrictions on having soda, so I drink it. Honestly, I drink a bit too much and am in the process of trying to cut back because I'm drinking 64 oz of diet coke a day.....ugh that stuff is so addictive.
