Question
I actually didn't think it was all that painful..i mean it's wasn't a day at the spa, but since they cut all the way around, your basically numb in that area. Of course I was sore and had to walk hunched over for a few weeks, but I thought it was so much easier then the DS I had at 500 lbs. I was back to working out at 4 weeks out, but didn't start direct abdominal work for 4 months...and even then it was light.
I'd hightly recommend getting a lift chair for the first month, getting out of a bed was a bit uncomfortable.

ETA: Make sure you get some protein shakes, you should increase your protein intake pre and post plastic surgery, it helps you heal faster. I was drinking 3 to 5 a day preop and for at least a month post op.

Jerry,
Please keep us posted on this aspect of your journey. Lots of us here are at that stage when PS is becoming part of the thought process. The Plastics board is dominated by women so that is not much help other than the technical aspect. What about your moobs?
