Hello Guys!
I'm just in the beginning stages of this weight loss surgury stuff. I at least a dozen or more co-workers who have gone through the process and have all had very relatively amazing results. I just stumbled across this site amongst all my google searching and have found lots of good information. I know I need help but, I'm kinda scared.
Anyways, I'm just introducing myself and if anyone has any resources they would like to share, I'm very open.
Thank You~

Welcome to the Men's board!![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/wavey.gif)
Three simple rules here:
1. No females allowed to post unless they are OH staffers, a female asking something for her significant other or she is posting about surgery results.
2. No WOW's or Onederland. We call them FART's and break the 200 pound mark it is Century City.
3. No more than three emoticons per post or that sparkly crap!
We talk about anything related to WLS from the male point of view. No questions here about time of the month, titties hurting, titties shrinking etc.
What kind of surgery are you looking at? How much are you wanting to loose? They all have pros and cons. Make your decision based on what you learn about each procedure, what you feel comfortable with doing to yourself, what your financial situation is (self-pay or insurance) and how you feel about your doc. It can be confusing and overwhelming as all hell at first but like climbing a big ass mountain once you reach the top the view is incredible!!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
I wonder about your definition of Century City or Onederland. When I first joined OH, we celebrated a 100 lb weight loss and you could belong to the Century club for that. It is unreasonable to expect some of us to ever get under 200. It would be nice, but if you start out close to 600 lbs and are over 50, it's unlikely. I was aware when I started my weight loss journey that many men would be starting their journies at weights I hoped to eventually get down to.
We don't just talk about WLS, diets/food, ore exercise. You can bring up just about any subject, but we avoid preachibg ib any religion and sports affiliations. Yes, you can say that you believe in the power of prayer, but just don't preach here. If you are going to talk of something not related to WLS we call that Off Topic and suggest that You start your topic heading with OT: .

Century City is for going under 200 lbs on the scales. 199.9. "Century" for 100 pound loss has always worked for me. More power to those among us who have lost 200, 300 lbs.
Double and Triple Century Clubbers! Was aiming for something more macho than "Onderland"!

Welcome to the board. Good luck on your WLS journey. My best piece of advice is to stay connected before and after your WLS. Participate in both online boards and local support groups. Be as educated as you can and there will be people to support you along the way.
