At your stage you're going to have all kinds of cravings.  My book said that we can have at week 5 these fruits: applesauce, peaches, pears, bananas, cantaloupe, honeydew, fruit ****tail, watermelon, mango, papaya, kiwi, strawberries, cherries, blueberries, blackberries, and prunes.  I'd be careful about the citrus fruits because of the acidity.  I'm almost 4 months out and fruit and veggies are about all I want to eat these days.

Also a small amount of banana might be good for potassium.  Avoid the fruit juices...added sugars.  Just limit the fruit.  You cheat to much now...What happens in a few months...example...holiday sweets??  Just be careful.

also remember fruits will make u feel hungerier so pace ur self and be smart, plus there high in calories but i know in the begining i craved watermelon i would give my self 4 small peices as a snack mid day as a small pick me up and i would chase with a protein shake to limit the craving for more food b/c ultimately fruit will give u more hunger cravings

buy the fresh fruit now, eat a bit (cause you can't/shouldn't be eating much of it anyways) and freeze the rest to use in protein shakes later on...

Hey Big Daddy,

Was good to hear all is going well with you.  Been thinking of you and did send a message once, but you must have missed it.  Sounds like you are doing good on the diet.  My son-in-law is going to have the surgery now also.  He will do it through Mayo.  He has a few other health problems that need close watching also.  I am so glad that all went well.  Hope the cravings don't get you into trouble.  I would check with the center to see what they recommend about certain things before trying them.  I have done well, but the only problems I have had have been sef induced.  I am a slow learner sometimes.  Keep up the good work!
