If any of you guys play golf like myself.Did it affect the outcome of your game afterwards with the significant weightloss or did your game suffer.I see myself getting better as being able to be alot more limber and loose to get a full swing just wondering thanks guys.

I dont lift my head and my swing is smoother.  But the real problems that wont go away this year is the cost of a round.  Seems like the guys want to play weekly and thats $125. per.  Not this year.

I haven't golfed in many years, but my son does and he invited me to go out for a game of miniature golf. Now I know it's nothing like putting on a real green, but my putts were right on! Seems there was less in the way of both the swing and seeing the ball. Try as I might, and I did try, I just couldn't shoot bad enough to throw the round to him. I think the part that really got him thinking, that I may have once been good, was when he saw me putting left handed to compensate for the lay. You know, next year I may just buy a new set of clubs and give golf a try again. I am taking my old clubs with me to my ranch in Sept and seeing if I drive like I once could.

I have only been out 1 time post op...very frustrating.  I lost about 20 yards with my driver.  I think it could be the loss of muscle mass.  Before...just before surgery...I would drive (with older clubs) about 200-210 yards.  But when I went out post op I could only drive about 180.  Just me.  Brian

I just bought my first set of clubs on clearance at Costco.  I haven't played in 20 odd years (since high school) so will have to basically learn the game all over.

I went out for the first time post - op last week end. We where on the first tee and the group ahead was about 220 yards up, so I figured I was ok to swing away. I did not want to to swing to hard and hurt myself, so i took a nice easy swing...and to everyones suprise I knocked 20 yards past them. Now it was the best shot I had all day, but what a great time to have it, I had a huge smile as I aplogized at the next tee. I even walked the first 9, but the hills got to me so we rode the back nine.

My game is still the same (spotty at best) but I now walk and enjoy the game rather than riding and struggling after ever swing.
