Three years ago .. yesterday.

Dave, it's great to hear from you.  You've been an inspiration for me.  You've bee a true friend on OH.  I looked back at your profile and noted how you really needed the Men's Forum when you first came here.  You've been a major asset for this forum over the past few years.  I hope you continue to occasionally post here.

For anyone who is having difficulty along their journey, I suggest that you look at Dave's profile.  He had to go through a lot of BS to get the approval for WLS.  It was ridiculous considering both his physical condition and size.  He was initially denied.  I don't know why.  Anyway, he was persistant.  There's a lot of interesting details in his profile.  You may end up just skimming over some of the details, but I think he demonstrates the fortitude some people need who are desparate to have WLS.

So, I wish Dave well.  You've fought the good fight with the ins co and conquered your past eating problems.  And, you've been supportive to your wife.  I wish both of you many years of good health.

Absolutely amazing Dave.  Congrats to you, and to your wife. That's  awesome inspiration and motivation for so many others! Keep on keepin' on brother!!
