I don't post on here much anymore, but had to share this with the guys *****member me.

The black and white picture was taken April 16th, 2006, just before I had a 95lb pannus removed.

July 25, 2006, still at 535 lbs, I had my RNY.

The second picture was taken aboard a Washington State Ferry in June.

My wife had her RNY in January of 2008, and is down 113 lbs.

Picture says it all.  Went from barely being able to walk to now riding my mountain bike on a regular basis, doing 5ks with my wife who is training for a half-marathon in October (I'm doing a 26.2 mile bike ride same day) - huge changes, all for the better.

Cool Dave...I have enjoyed watching your journey.  Gald to see you and your wife on the boards again.  I know this might not be something you want to bring up...but it would be nice if they planned another Tom's Farm function.  I think a lot of Northern California people would go this time.  I followed all the stuff that happened on the Cali Board and the fall outs and the Tom's Farm issues last year...Yet, it just seems that would be a great location for WLS families to get togeather.  Just my thoughts.  Brian

I ride a 2009 Giant Rincon..

http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m130/MunchkinsMagik/041.j pg

This was back in February, I had just got done riding an 11 mile off-road loop.

Incidently, I just got done riding a near 13 mile loop this afternoon.

Sweaty, sore butt, tired .. and loving it.

Nice , very nice....I was looking at the Rincon/Yukon but they didnt have the lock out on the forks for riding on the road.. and double wall wheels..  so went with a 2010 Trek 4300 Disc..

I really liked the Giant bike was all white, would have matched my car.. haha

I've done some off-roading, but I haven't done sand yet.

I love my Giant.  Don't have any complaints about it at all.  Though so far, I've had to replace four tubes, the rear gear cartrdige, and I'm thinking about a new seat.  (My butt hurts)  But I love the way it handles, both on and off road.

The Trek is a nice bike - though, if I ever decide to upgrade, I want to go full suspension - something like this:

Though I really need to step up my career and make some dough.
