This should be an experience
I leave today for a week at church camp, where I am camp director for 23 kids in grades 7-12. I have my emergency protein stash packed; I've been in contact with the camp manager and head cook (husband and wife) to check some things out in advance; and I know that I will get exercise, exercise, exercise! But the first time away from home will be an adventure. In one sense, I feel the discomfort of second grader going to camp and being away from home for the first time. The only difference is I can drive about seven miles to civilization if needs be, and a second grader can't.
Of course, at about 55 pounds of weight loss since starting the process, it's almost like leaving a second grader at home!
Talk to y'all next weekend.

Last night at camp (BTW, they have wireless capability this year, so here I am) I went on our camp's night hike, and one of the hills just about did me in - it took me about six minutes to get my breathing back to normal. Lots of hills and steps, so I'm getting in plenty of exercise - over 10,000 steps yesterday, above 5200 so far today. Lots of hills and steps to go with those steps, too.
My camp directors Tshirt was an XL - and it fit and looked fabulous!
I was afraid to be away from home at first but, since I've done it not so much anymore. Now I'm going to Itally in a month the LAND OF PASTA (that will be a test)
You've done all the right things you're prepared you'll be fine.. Enjoy yourself you're going to be out and active and you'll probably have a GREAT TIME!!! Just think what this would have been like 55 pounds ago.. CELEBRATE and have a great time.
