Some people amaze me

I went out of town last week for the purpose of picking up a Mountain bike.  Before I moved to FL I gave away a good Mongoose that I bought in the 90s. There was nothing wrong with it and in perfect condition. I gave it to a friend that helped me move to FL in 05. It was a 400 bike.

When I told him about my surg he offered to give the bike back. Said he wasn't using it. It would have been about 175 to ship it from a uship place. He had no means of boxing it.  I said I would come up and get it for that amount..

He knows I am coming. I talked to him on June 20th. I tell him I am in town and  I will call you on Monday to set a time to come get it.. I call on Monday no answer, Tuesday same thing.  Wed I call his house and hear him in the background, he comes to the phone and hangs it up, guess he saw the caller ID.  What **** tard.

I have known this guy 10 years.   I am glad it's ok for people just to f*ck someone over this easy..
I would have never gone to MD for a week if it were not for this bike. Now I am at a loss and still need to fork out 650 for a bike.

That sucks, it is things like this that show who are true friends are. I hope the rest of the trip went ok and you at least able to enjoy some time away.

Yea rest of the trip was ok. Did alot, lost 6 lbs by the time I got back.. Don't want to stress too much over that BS and stall out again..

Hell, you were in my backyard if you were in Glen Burnie.  I'am in Crofton.  Sorry about your loss.
If you only have some people amazing you, you need to get out more often.  There are some amazing fu** holes out there, and this one is not the last one you'll get caught up with.
Learn from, it minimize your losses and get on with new opportunities.  Dont shoot him. Ammo for that  beast  cost to much, and besides the clean up takes time.
