IHBGOMBL (Ihaven't been getting off my butt lately)
Today, I walked to work from my car and was exhausted. Still recovering from my appy surgery which was last Thursday. I am looking forward to becoming more active again. One more week and I should be able to start riding my bike again. I think staying active is important to this process, what have you been up to lately?
I had my wife set up my Gazelle--that non-jarring device from Tony Little. It works for me since I have trouble walking. I'm starting out very slowly. I get on it for multiple short stints throughout the day. It's also good for me to have since I tend to not walk in the heat and humidity we get around here in the Summer.
Allow yourself time to completely heal from your surgery before getting back to any vigorous exercise. You don't want to have a setback or injure yourself cause then you'll be unable to exercise even longer.
Use the "down time" to plan your exercise program and get yourself focused and motivated for when you can exercise again. Keep up the walking during that time.
