Hello fellas I have been posting on the Indiana board for a few months now but I thought it was about time I joined the guys.  I've lurked around for a few days and you all are a great bunch and really supportive of each other.  Hope you can make a spot for me here, I can always use more support and have plenty to give too !!!!!!  I'm an avid hunter, I do alot of fishing, and I love to watch sports.  I had surgery in April, 2009 and I'm enjoying this amazing weight loss journey.

Welcome to the men's forum Jamie. Congrats on your surgery. I am a year and two months out and it has been a fantastic voyage for me so far. As for hunting, I guess it doesn't get much more avid than me. I went turkey hunting in Wisconsin this May with a herniated disk. The pain was so intense that I could not walk to my blind. I had to be driven there in a golf cart. But I did get a 25 lb bird with a 11 1/2" beard. I own my own antelope hunting ranch and travel to it in Wyoming just to hunt there once a year. So like I said I don't think you can find much more avid of a hunter than me. This is a great place to ask anything you like of the men. We kind of keep it just for me, the ladies dominate most of the other forums. As I understand it the women may only come here for assistance with a spouse or significant male other, that has had/is having WLS or if the lady is one of the OH website managers. Hey gang say hi to Jamie.

Nick,

I wanted to ask you the first time you posted the turkey picture - where in the hell are your hands at in that shot?!  Looks like you are doing a digital exam!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Im holding the fan feathers spread. They dont stay like that after they die. But I guess if you aren't a hunter I see what you mean.

Jamie,
I cant post trophy pics like Nick.  After I hit them with SUV they're are mush.  That's how good a shot I am.  Welcome to the guy gig.  We do support each other and all are willing to take the max for ya.  Yea right.
Each of us are at seperate and special places on our journey.  As WLS'ers are activities, food choices, exercise routines and relationships are unique.  Sometimes I feel like a walking talking evangelist for healthy living. Ti I fu** up
Good luck

Jamie,

Greetings and welcome  to the Men's board!

Lots of good support, and ass kicking, here when necessary.

Few rules of Cool:

1.  We have FART's, not WOW's.
2.  Century City instead of "Onderland" when you go sub-200 lbs.
3.  Please observe the no more than three emoticon limit in your post.
4.  No WLS topic is taboo.  (Just to clarify and get it out of the way sorry to tell you but your "Willie" does not "grow" post op.  It appears that way due to losing the fat pad at the base.  Think of it like a 8' post buried in the ground.   If you have 3' in the ground and remove 1.5 feet of dirt Viola!  You add 1.5 feet to the post!)
5.  Females are allowed to post provided it meets three one of three conditions.  They work for OH.  They are posting a question regarding Men's health related to WLS for their significant others or giving a progress report on a board member's surgery, health complications etc.

Sounds archaic I know but for you, and the other newbies we have picked up lately, our "forefathers" asked OH to provide Men a place to post without having to listen to crap about ***** shrinkage and how WLS effects being on the rag.

FYI:  Even though I am lifelong Cowboy's fan I hated to see Tony Dungee retire.  He seems like a class act.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Thanks to you all and I look forward to sharing our journeys together !

Nick, you truly are an avid hunter.  It's a dream of mine to own a nice piece of ground w/ a pond on it and put a good wildlife management in place but right now it's just a dream...........  Great pics of you and the game.  I'm sure it's alot easier to get around now, I can walk so much easier and I'm sure I'm going to feel alot more safe & comfy in the ladder stand this year!  Thanks for the welcome!

Lbsadropping, you have a cool hunting technique, there's been times when I thought that maybe the only way I could get one, lol.  Not good on the weapon though!  Thanks for the welcome.

Duane, thanks for the advise on joining this forum, I should have started here along time ago!  A great group of fellas!

Losttxn,  thank you for the welcome and the rules too.  I look forward to the day when I get all that soil removed, lol, if I can't grow more then at least I can get the shovel out and do some digging so to speak, lol.  Thanks for the kind words towards our team we lost a good coach for sure and I don't know what this year has in store, Peyton is already complaining!!!!!  Good luck to the cowboys I hope we see you in the super bowl !!!!!!

BamaBob, I want to say thank you for the welcome and I also want to say sorry for your loss and my condolences to you and your friends family.  I've been to Alabama a few times to vacation at Joe Wheeler State Park and play some golf w/ the buddies, we would rent a cabin for the week.  Nice place and it use to be really cheap to play gold and rent the cabin not sure about now.  We would also go to Decatur and play at Point Mallard Golf Co.

Robert, thanks for the welcome and I appreciate a good alignment when needed !!!!  Cool avatar btw, I'm sure you prolly have some great spots in Wisconsin to hunt and fish !!!!
