Don't know if I've ever mentioned it but...
I'll explain. I was excited. Insurance was a breeze, tests were no problem, everything sort of fell into place for me. Then the morning of...I froze. We were walking into the hospital and I suddenly thought...What the hell?! What am I doing??!! I can't do this.... THEN I thought how much hell you guys would have given me if I had chickened out after months of questions and post after post after post about what to expect, etc. LOL
So.....thanks everybody. Thanks for guiding me through one of the best decisions I've ever made. Too many names to mention but you know who you are.

Hey Alaskaman!
I haven't had that much of an issue with excess skin. I was plesantly suprised that my skin retracted pretty well. One thing to remember: you skin will not be "on the same page" (or at least mine wasn't) as you weight loss. When I look at pictures from 6-9-12 months after surgery, my neck, stomach, etc was alot more "loose" than it is now. Alot of things will effect your experience e.g. age, sun exposure prior to weight loss, smoking, etc. So, just keep that in mind.
As to your other question: At 3 months out, I think I had lost about 60 pounds or so. The first 30 came off super fast and then I slowed down and stalled several times. So get ready for that. It'll come off, don't worry 'bout it.
Good luck to you!
