Protica..anyone try it?
Has anyone tried this stuff? Seems like an easy way to get protien in daily.
I would need 3 a day, but at 3 oz and 0 cabs or sugars seems like it maybe a good way to go. Of course the fact that they are talking about trial studies is a bit unnerving. Here a like if anyone wants to check it out.

Have not tried it. Two things...How is the taste? Many people have to go from protein shake to portein shake trying to find the right one they can stomach. The other thing is looking at the ingredients. They have alot of strange sounding stuff before it gets to whey protein isolate. Some protein powders have a different protein first and then whey protein. You really need whey protein first for a reason. It is easy to digest and it absorbs better (and last longer in your system) than other proteins. It is most important for the potential loss of muscle mass over the first few months of bypass surgery. I wouldn't go with it, but I won't tell you which one to go with. You'll have to trial and error to find the right one for you. You might want to ask friends who have had WLS (or support groups) to give you samples of what they are using...If you like it...go with it. Brian
