Wow moment for me....
I was off today and decided to run some errands. I had three stops to make: 1) Home Depot 2) Guitarworks 3) Casual Male (I always called it the fat mans store-I shopped there often for many years). Anyway before I left I rummaged through my closet and found several items of clothing that still had the tags on them, I'd brought them home and never worn them. They were all way too big for me to now wear. I put them into a bag and off I went.
I got the "Team Associate" to give me in-store credit for my returned items! I didn't have the receipts and it's been awhile since I'd purchased the clothes so I didn't know if he'd help me out or not. I explained that my wife and I recently had WLS and he gladly obliged. Within a couple of minutes I had a gift card in my hand for $150.00...not too shabby.
I decided to check out the clearance racks to see what I could find. I thought that I might get some clothes that I could "shrink" into. I'd been wearing sizes anywhere from 3XL to 5XL. I found a long sleeve 1/4 zip up sweater by Oak Hill for 50% off. It is an XL. That's right....an XL, no numbers in front of the XL!!!! I can't remember when the last time was that I could get into a single XL. The thing is, it's not even tight on me! I thought that it would be months before I could wear something like this. I even bought two new pairs of shoes two sizes smaller than I was wearing pre-op. I was wearing size 15 and today I bought size 13. I've got to say, finding size 13's is so much easier than finding size 15. Just thought I'd share this with you guys.

I've not tried to eat any shrimp or lobster. It's not on our diet at this point and I really don't understand why. I've had no problems with anything that I've eaten so far if I take my time and chew it up and start with small pieces in the first place. I learned that the hard way....one bad experience with cold chicken.
Well they said soft food was anything i can cut with a fork or a spoon. Yea I learned when not to take that last bite.. I don't like that pain. I find when I burp I am done, weird.
I am going back to just fish. Not alot of chewing involved. I can eat half of a grouper filet. I did eat some sushi on Sat. (just the fish no rice) My sushi bill has gone from 50 to 15.00 and was able to take some home. The best part is I was not hungry in 2 hours.

Duane,
Congrats on the smaller sizes!
Lobster and shrimp on hard on RNY's for several months but can tell you that they have become a steady part of my diet for the last several months.
Get in line regarding chicken.
I think it is a some sort of a rite of passage to barf after eating it a some point in the journey!
