Fistula
Hey guys,
Long time since I posted. If any of u remember I am that idiot that went to Antarctica...haha
Anyways, I went into the ER with upper right quadrant pain last night (I am going out of town and my pcp sent me there to get the results) and they found 2 gallstones and they also found something interesting....They said the CT showed a backflow of the contrast into my OLD stomach. They are calling it a Gasto Gastric Fisula....Have any of you had or heard of this? We paged my surgeon this morning and he said that its no "common" but its not uncommon and its not a horrible thing but it can cause ur to gain all ur weight back and that he will look at it when I come into the office for my gallbladder issue. He said that he would probably just do the two procedures at the same time to avoid excessive table time....Just wondering if you have head of it or know what it is????

Nope never heard of it. Sounds like your surgeon know whats up and everything will be fine. Let us know how it goes.

Hey dude, I remember you...Thought you were crazy for going there right after surgery. But if I remember, the work there helped you to drop your weight really fast. Yes, I have heard of people having fisulas growing from the pouch back to the stomach or vise versa. Some people let them stay, others get them resolved in surgery. Not very common, but can happen.
