New to the boards and OH - wanted to say hi.

Have my RNY surgery date of 8/18.

Looking forward to meeting more of you and I'm so glad there's a mens forum here.

Hi Tony and welcome to the locker room.
  I   have been around  for a while now. I don't post very much any more. But you will find a great bunch of guys here. Come on in post as much or as little as you like. I read the board almost every night ,just dont respond.That is not to say that you will not have an answer to your question and most of the time more then one too.

OH very informative place to learn the ropes of WLS.  Both from the technical end and personal story end.  Take it all in then sort through and implement what you learn into your program.  The Dr.'s and Nuts are not on the same page!!

All I can say is read read read about your surg and you will have the best recovery.

One time a Month we have manly Monday. Post pics of hobbies, toys, outtings or an interesting job you may have..  Even a project around the house.  

Welcome aboard!  Good group with lots of info and experience.

Welcome Tony, the fish'ns good, the whiskey smooth, beer cold, always par the course and we have all the answers sometimes.
Great bunch of losers here who will share real life experiences losing lbs.

welcome and good luck.  this board and some others are very valuable, the information and inspiration here can be motivating and keep you from pulling your hair out...  it's great to have a community of guys that are going through or have gone through what you are.

Welcome.  This isn't a sissy board like the main forum where the gals give you hugs and tell you what you want to hear.  In the locker room you hear the truth, and get slapped when you need it. 

There will be many guys at your approximate surgery date going through the same things you are at the same time, there will be many guys a month ahead of you that can tell you what is normal and how they got through some rough spots, and there are guys on maintenance that have went through it all that can put it in perspective.  We all take a little different path, but we all have a lot in common.
