Good Memorial Day everyone.  I hope you have had a good nights sleep and you are enjoying your day off/or working.

Our challenge today is to remember our Veterans.  I salute all of you that have served or ARE serving our great Nation.  We have lost much in the past, but because of you, we have GAINED MUCH also.  You give of your time, effort, hard work, emotions, and your will to serve me and I salute you.  To all those who have lost family members due to serving, may God bless you and keep you.  To those with members serving active or not, salute them today and please know they are in my prayers.  I SALUTE ALL SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN!!

So, who's up?  Who slept in?  LOL  What cha sippin' on?  I'm enjoying some Boca Java Boca Mocha this morning while Lucy, Torey, and Allison sleep in.  I've been up since 4:20 and have completed 2 class assignments this a.m.  Thought about taking the Summer Semester off but I didn't.  The coffee sure has helped with the class work.

Y'all have a wonderful Memorial Day!
For every Goliath, there is a Stone! His name is Jesus!"

My mother-in-law and brother-in-law visited us for the weekend.  We went out to eat Sat night at a new buffet restaurant.  I've been there before and just had some shrimp, a little bit of lobster, mushooms, and strawberries.  My brother-in-law ate the place out and he's always been thin and fairly inactive.  He tore into the king crab legs, lobster, and spicy shrimp and repeated that a few times.

Yesterday he showed off his skills as the family grillmeister just cooking BBQ wings and hot dogs.  We also had grilled zuchini and squash.  The latter came from a recipe in the new book, SERIOUS BARBECUE by Adam Perry Lang.  I like looking at the book, but I don't like anything that's even mildly spicy.  But, it is a gorgeous coffee table book.  The various meats look scrumptious.

Another good post.  Ground my beans and brewed.  Got caught up doing something and forgot to enjoy my beans. Did a 2 hr workout this am.  Ask wife want she wanted to do to day.  Nothing, she's  feeling ill and relaxing. I'am thinking about washing our cars, but not there yet. No grilling today, did it yesterday and had my first taste of NY strip albeit 3 bites and 1/2 ear of corn 1.5 glass shiraz and a pk of pringle stix.    Son eating a 3/4pound of steak, 2 ears of corn, salad 3 beers - those were the days.Boy things have changed since this journey begain.
Went to arlington Cem for awhile yesterday.  son is ex army and had some friends there.
Good luck all

Well I got up late and went out and lowered my flag to half mast. We did some yard work and went to home depot for some mulch. We were there at 3Pm and got a lot of looks when we stopped for a minute to say a prayer for our fallen hero's. We barbcued on saturday. Had friends down from Jacksonville for the weekend. We met while stationed on the USS Proteus in Guam in the 80's. we're both retired now. Dina made here famous ribs. I couldn't resist so I pureed some and after three small spoonfulls my pouch rejected it. maybe to early for spicy food. Back to cream soups and protein shakes.
