Business Trip Over

Well, my business trip is over - and being prepared really helped. Fruit was an excellent go to food, although I was pretty low on the protein intake each day. I tried to make up for it at dinner with getting shrimp entrees. Shrimp, plus salad, a little baked tater. Had a glass of wine at happy hour - worked out great. I was buzzed, everyone else barely feeling it.

I ran into folks I hadn't seen in over a year (pre-surgery) and they didn't even recognize me. One lady walked right past me and asked the person next to me where I was lol. That was a great feeling. Looked up another WLS brother - he is doing great - and sticking to the program.

Another FART, I fit in the seat in the planes! AND - I actually crossed my legs on the plane! That blew me away. I did find myself finding other folks on the plane that were about my size pre-WLS - and could see how uncomfortable they were. Made me feel very grateful for the tool I have been given. The only bad news is that I lost my pedometer on one of the planes coming home. All my skwirming in the seat must have knocked it off my belt loop.

Good to hear that all went well, Larry.  I'm with you in believing that preparation pays off.

I look forward to the day that I have to fly and don't need to wonder if I'll need an extender or not.  Actually, with my waist 4" down (now 46") I don't think it would be an issue.

Onward and DOWNward,
