Backed Out In Pre-op
Everyone gets the nervousness prior to surgery. Wouldn't be normal if they didn't. I was 55, had had 5 heart attacks, ballooned up to 397 lbs., had a stent, pacemaker, congestive heart failure, severe edema, pre-diabetic, taking 13 medications a day and felt like hell every day. Some days I couldn't even get my shoes on to go to work because my feet and ankles were so swollen. I couldn't walk up the stairs at work, or even walk more than about a hundred yards without stopping to rest. My life and health sucked! I was ready to start living life again, not just existing. I figured the risks of not having the surgery were a lot worse than the risks involved with the surgery. Sure, I got nervous, but I was at the point that I was willing to risk any and everything to be able to feel good and live again.
WLS is the best thing I could have done for myself. I'd do it all again tomorrow without an ounce of hesitation. I had my surgery 1 year and 2 weeks ago. I've lost 212 lbs and now weigh 185 lbs. I can exercise, walk, weight train, play with the grandkids, ride my Harley for hours, and do just about anything I want to. I feel great!!
But, the choice is one that only you can make. Best of luck to you with your decision.

No,, one in here can help you make up your mind... Thats something you have to search within yourself for.
Maybe its not for you...... Maybe another stab at the old fashioned methods for weight loss are worthy trying again. Lets face it it can be done.
I will say that the surgery has CHANGED MY LIFE. I sincerely believe that I wish I had done it YEARS ago.
