Well I would first start by saying to be sure and talk it over with your surgeon. If there no complication I would prob say it would have taken me about three or four weeks before I would have thought I could do that.

the reason i ask all this is after i had my gallbladder surgery a few years ago i went out dumb as a nail, and tried to start the mower a week and half afterwards.  i guess i will have to go as the body feels and what the surgeon says. will be a learning process..

I am three weeks out and I definitely would not try to mow the grass. I too am a stickler about my yard and my 21 year old son (Who still lives at home) mows it for me. He doesn't like the fact that I am out there barking instructions to him. But I tell him what can you expect from an old retired Navy Chief.(LOL)

I was told by my surgeon not to lift/push anything over 5lbs for 6 - 8 weeks. But then I still have a G-Tube in that will come out June 1st.

yea, about 6 wks out. Need time to heal.
Dont mow anymore, live in a community where the HOA mows.  The older the greater the scale back.
This is for all those riders.  I was driving near Harpers Ferry and I saw a guy on a mower riding back and forth.  I had to stop and watch.  His front yard was about 75'x100' no side or back yard. Now, I'am sure he had a heart condition LOL
Wasn't there a TV ad like this?
