Tuesday Coffee Talk

Good Tuesday morning everyone!  I hope you ALL slept as good as I did!  Man oh man! I haven't had that good a nights sleep in a long time!  Sure does feel good too.

Our challenge for today is to love yourself.  If you don't love you, no one else will.  Today, show others how much you love yourself by caring for your body.  Make yourself look good, physically and emotionally.  Don't go around looking unkempt.  Don't go around wearing just any old thing.  Fix yourself up!  Clean up.  Smell good.  Put some effort into letting your mate, friends, co-workers, and family how much you love you!!

So, who's up?  What cha sippin' on?  Me?  I'm sipping on just enough coffee to get my meds down.  I'm having  a minor procedure done on my hips today.  3 injections.  They will have to put me to sleep so keep me in your prayers.

Have a great Tuesday and I hope you show others how much you love you!

For every Goliath, there is a Stone! His name is Jesus!"

I posted last week that one of the benefits I've rec'd after losing 35 lbs since Jan is that I now like and love myself.  This is not simply the result of losing weight, rather it comes from actively working the written exercises in Beck's Diet Solution.  The basis of the book is to use cognitive therapy to challenge our thoughts about food and to thus change our behavior.  When I have a sabotaging thought, I learn to write down a helpful response.  There are examples throughout the book.  I was able to extrapolate this way of thinking to other aspects of my life and I can honestly say that this has transformed my life.  You know that I used to question how you could be so upbeat most of the time.  Well, now I understand.  And, our attitudes can be changed by challenging how we think and learning ourselves to re-think some of our behaviors.

By the way, I started with a cup of instant coffee with DavinciGourmet SF&FF caramel syrup and a dash of non-fat milk.  I had a doc's appt this morning and had a cup of DD caramel espresso on the way home (actually didn't drink it until I got home.
