The Master Cleanse

Have any of you guys ever done this before? I am not looking to do it long term just as a jump start. Just wondering what others exerperienced.

I am wondering why you would do this.  I understand why you might need to get a cleansing prior to some medical exams.  If you are going to go to that trouble, contact your primary and see if there are any exams that he'd like you to do.  I'm thinking of the one where they look up your butt--you need to get it every few years anyway, so you can actually do some good.

Otherwise, what else will change if you go through the cleansing?  Have you strayed from your post-op food plan and do you think this is the only way to get back to it?  I doubt that will work.  You should realistically look at what you are eating and perhaps weigh and measure your food for at least a week.  That way you can get honest with yourself about what you are eating.  I started weighing and measuring my meals in mid Jan of this year.  I can guesstimate the couple meals a week that I have when I dine out, but I actually get out the food scale and measuring cups for checking out the rest of my food.  I then go to a calorie counter book to see what I am consuming.  I note what I am eating after every meal (I have a plan of what I am going to eat as far a grams of proteins and calories) plus I keep a running total of both during the day.  I try to stay between 1,600 and 1,800 cal per day with about 80 g protein if no shakes and about 20-30 more grams of protein if I have one or more shakes.  And, this is on a weight reduction plan with very little exercise involved.

It's mainly just to kick start things! Not a long term diet at all. When I am done I will go back to clean eating. I just have fell so far off the wagon I kinda need a moral booster of sorts.  Plus I have been eating some much crap I feel like I need a cleanse internally and externally! lol   It's pretty simple you just drink this lemonade, maple syrup and Cayenne pepper mixture for 10 days.
