Lack of patience with people since surgery?

Hi Guys,  I haven't posted in over 6 months but I had a question.  Ever since I started loosing weight I find that I am also loosing my never ending patience with people.  Has anybody else experienced this?

I just had my 6 month check up and all my labs look good, but I just find that I seem to get irritated a lot easier these days.  Any help that you guys could provide would be appreciated.

Don't know if this is the answer...I posted this a few months ago...
If you haven't heard this...It could be a wake up call...
As you lose weight you have a lot of hormones getting released from inside the fat cells.  Including in this is a lot of estrogen (even in men).  Just letting you know some of this should pass.  Men who are not very emotional all of a sudden become emotional post WLS and they have no ideal what is going on.  Big time release of estrogen.  Brian

I had heard of this too. While I don't think I am necesairly more aggressive or less patient, I am am more confidant combined with more energy - I suppose that could be viewed as aggressive. I hope this combination in me does not pass!

However, I have noticed a high level of anxiety again (have struggled with this for years) and went back on Celexa to help even things out again.

My wife tells me I'm alot more "agressive" than I used to be.  I really don't see it as much as she claims to.  Whatever it is, I think it's 2-fold.

1.  Maybe it is the hormonal differences.  The doc told me last time it was checked that my testosterone levels were elevated, but not enough to worry about it.  I guess I'm just a whole lotta MAN.  LOL

2.  I find myself not taking "crap" off people like I did when I was overweight.  Call it confidence I guess.

Whatever it is, I like it..

Have a good one

Funny you should mention that, as I had the same thing and wondered the same about other WLSers ..

I suspect it is due to the fact that, before when we were biggies, we tended to be more passive (or "less assertive") and just go with the flow of the crowd  ..     Part of it was maybe that we were in no big hurry to get anywhere anyway, as that would only make us even more out of breath/energy ..   We were more 'easygoing" perhaps ..      Also, we were self-conscious of our size and therefore did not want to stand out even more in a crowd or "make a scene" if things weren't going to our liking ..

Now that we've lost our weight, there's no need or motive to be like we were before or to have that same attitude, I guess ..   Maybe we're even a bit impatient with those slow-moving biggies ..

In other words, we've become thin jerks, like all those others ..

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "

I'm definitely short on patience these days as well.  it could be an energy problem with me as it typically happens at night and when i'm drained.  interesting comment about the hormones.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.
