Well, it's almost the day before surgery...

Today I did a quart of the bowel cleanser and have been on clear liquids.  Tomorrow it's another day of clear liquids (they want me to include some Gatorade G2 - YES!!!!!).  I also have appointments with my massage therapist and chiropractor.  I'm gonna be ready come Thursday.

The food commercials on TV aren't bothering me in the least!  If anything, I'm figuring out how I will be able to eat a small portion of some of the items come a few months from now.  But surprisingly, no salivating!

Onward and upward!

Hang in there and before you know it you will be on the Loser's Bench.  It has been 6 months for me and I still can't believe it.  It all seems so real and unreal at the same time.

We are all rootin' for you

Brian,

Minor correction in your post.  "Onward and upward" should be changed to "onward and downward"! Understand what is meant but in this context okay to edit a bit.

Good Luck tomorrow and see directions below--------

Correction noted and accepted with pleasure.

I don't suppose I could say that I meant "upward to the 6th floor of Cleveland Clinic" and get away with it, could I?  :-)

In that context you can get a pass.

I just wanted to wish you well.  If you don't get many replies to a post but see that many people have read it, take that as an indication that they probably agree with the posts and can't think of something original to say without repeating the encouraging mantras.  Post with your post-surgical results.

Brian,

You'll do great! I am 1 week post-op and feel great. I returned to work yesterday. Some positive things since surgery 1 week out are:
  1. I am completely off my diabetes medicine since the surgery.
  2. Iam completely off of my cholesterol medicine.
  3. I haven't needed my CPAP Machine (Sleep apnea) since surgery and I DON'T snore. I can actually sleep with Dina in the same room with no complaints about my machine/snoring. And I am sleeping better than ever.
  4. I have lost 25lbs since two weeks before surgery.
  5. I have a lot of energy I didn't have pre-surgery.
Good Luck,

Mike
