OT:are there any R/C enthusiasts out there ?

Did/does anybody either before or after surgery ever get into the Radio Controlled scene,as a hobby? planes, boats,helicopters,street cars,monster trucks,or off-road trucks? I was into it for a little while and then sold both of the trucks I had before the snow flew last winter.Then a buddy of mine asked me the other night if I wanted to buy his because his wife wanted him to get rid of one of his TOYS .......he decided to keep his 1989 MONTE CARLO SS and let the R/C stadium truck go.
So long story short I traded him a spare tool set I had laying around for it,now after losing 81 lbs. I feel more like chasing it when I roll it over than I did before.
Just curious if any body else had ever done the R/C thingbefore and if so what did/do you have?
