Tuesday Coffee Talk

Good Tuesday morning everyone!  Man!  I slept late!   6:45 IS late for me!  LOL  Sure did feel good too.  How'd you sleep?

Our challenge for today is to learn to accept others.  Too often we want to shun people.  That is a terrible thing to do.  I'm learning that I have to accept others just as they are no matter WHO they are.  What if I were the shunned?  What if no one wanted to be around me just because of my social status (been there), what if someone shunned me because I looked different.  Who am I to shun someone?  Who am I to judge?  Who am I to push someone away because they look or act a certain way.  Have we heard of unconditional love?  Unconditional acceptance?  My my!  If we could learn that everyone is different, but everyone is human, what a wonderful world we would live in.  I'm telling you, being OBESE and being looked at because I was fat made me feel, and I was, shunned.  I hated that feeling.  We have to learn to accept.  We of ALL people should accept others no matter what!  I dare you to accept this challenge today.  Even though someone looks or acts different, you might just be missing out on a WONDERFUL friendship if you don't accept them.

So, what cha sipping on today?  Me?  I'm loving me some Vanilla Caramel coffee.  Sure is good too.  Hits the spot.  Ya wanna cup?  HEHEHE

Ya'll have a wonderful and blessed Tuesday as you accept someone today.  NO MATTER WHAT!!  I'm headed to the porch to finish my coffee and quiet time.  Talk to ya soon!

Great post, Randall. As a father of a daughter who has Down Syndrome , I've been amazed how things have changed so much for the better in society accepting her. When I was a kid, anybody who was developmentally disabled was "weird" and was to be avoided.

No more! When my daughter graduated high school, the entire senior class stood up and gave her a standing ovation. Talk about AWESOME!! Say what you will about kids these days but, to me........nuff said.
