I have had my RNY
Congratulations on your successful WLS, JohnBoy! Now is the time to focus on step one of your road to health which is quite simply, WALK, WALK, WALK.......SIP, SIP, SIP. After a couple weeks of this, you'll be ready for step two which will be WALK, WALK, WALK outside for longer distances.
From a fitness standpoint, Step 3 is up to you. You'll need to find a good cardio (running, hiking, biking, etc.) exercise you enjoy and you also need to add some strength training (basic weight lifting, calistenics, yoga, etc.).
Lots of successful post-WLS exercisers here in the locker room who'll have some great tips for you.
Best of luck.

Hey JohnBoy, first off congrats on your surgery and for doing so well. Boner gave some great advice on the physical exercise part after surgery, so I can't add to that. Now is also the time to try and get your mind right for life after WLS. Try to develop good eating habits so you can make good and intelligent decisions. Do it now so they will become second nature to you. Good Luck! You are doing awesome!
As important as WALK WALK WALK SIP SIP SIP is, it is EQUALLY important to follow the docs food plan 100%. After a little while you will feel like you can test limits, but just stay the course through liquid, puree, soft, etc. Take your time and follow the plan.
It really makes a difference in the long run.
Good luck.

Play hard or go home.

The guys have told you the truth. Lots of water, as much protein as you can stand and walk. Follow the Dr.'s eating directions and don't be in a rush to try new things. You will have plenty of time for that, if you feel like it later on.
One thought that always helped me and I read it here prior to my surgery: "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!"
Good luck.
