Hey, Guys, I'm back
I had a Lap RNY on Wednesday and everything went well. They kept me in the hospital until Friday afternoon to make sure my bladder was awake - I have BPH and it takes a while. The Mayo doctor said he would have to take out the drain before I left because that belonged to Mayo. (I'm pretty sure he was joking.)
I have Oxy for pain and took a half dose last night before bed and a full dose at 3:00am. The only pain I have today is for one of the incisions right above my waist. When I sit down or get up the fat rolls and it hurts.
I had a very large breakfast this morning, a whole ounce of Cream of Wheat.
Anyway, things are going very well and much of it is due to the stuff I learned here. Thanks for all your help!
Now where's that damn bench?

Great to hear!! There's a space right over here. The first few weeks are real boring...then it gets better and better each day. The reason for the pain near the bellybutton, that is where they put the camera. Sip sip sip...walk walk walk...sleep sleep sleep. The gas will pass. It takes about 6-10 days. Toe touches (or trying to touch your toes) and getting your body in different positions may help with the gas. Hope to be hearing about your adventure. Ask away on the questions. Brian
