50 Mile Challenge - Week 1
One week gone in the 50 mile challenge for the month of July. I hope everyone was able to get out and be active on the LOOOONG (or not long enough) holiday weekend. So how did you do for week 1?
My total for the first week is 84 miles biking, 18 miles running and 2 miles swimming. The long bike rides really busted my ass, especially my failed venture to try to ride with the A Group yesterday. Big mistake. They dropped me by mile 5!

So far I'm at:
Walking: 12.75 miles
Biking: 2 miles

It gives me a goal to work towards. I'm 3 months post-op and remember at this time last summer I would be out of breath just going to the mailbox, had to park in the handicap space at the grocery store because it was to much for me to walk from a regular parking space.
During this past weekend, I started each day with a 2 mile walk and walked another mile before I went to bed.
Now that I'm back home (I was at my cottage at the beach) I'll still do my "mileage, but it will be at the gym on a treadmill.
