July 4th Coffee Talk
Happy July 4th everyone! Hope you slept great! I woke up a couple of times. This is going to be a great day! What a day to celebrate! What a day to wake up! A day of Independence. Freedom! Our challenge today is to CELEBRATE your Independence. Celebrate the United States Of America. Celebrate a country that you can live free from dictatorship. What greater country is there on this continent? NONE! Why else is EVERYONE trying to get here? Let's salute the flag today and APPRECIATE OUR GREAT UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!! GOD BLESS US! GOD HELP US! What cha sipping on this morning? Me? I'm loving some more of that Gevalia Mocha Java coffee. The stuff is AWESOME! Gotta love it! Got big plans today? If so, whatever you do, enjoy your day, be safe, and CELEBRATE YOUR FREEDOM!
For every Goliath, there is a Stone! His name is Jesus!"

I'm sippin' on Pathmark Instant Premium blend with my usual of DaVinciGourmet Caramel syrup and 1% milk. We're having family down today and my brother-in-law will be manning a Weber charcoal grill. We usually don't go into the city (either Philly or Camden--yes people do go to Camden NJ) to see the fireworks. I used to think nothing of it when I was in my 30s and early 40s. Having never lived in Philly, I can still wholeheartedly recommend it as a historical vacation destination. Plus, there are fantastic museums. Don't be a fool like I was in 1979 and try to walk everywhere. I would have been ok by myself but some things are further than they appear on the tourist maps,i.e., the infamous Phila Art Museum is about 1 mile from Independence Mall. That's not bad for most of you, but can you imagine dragging your family along? You can take low cost "trolleys" in the warmer months that link the sights. They also have low cost transportation to the Philadelphia Zoo. Philly usually celebrates the 4th of July for a solid week with 2 major fireworks displays, a food and craft festival, and several concerts. Oh, yes, there's the big parade but there are smaller parades throughout the city. You can tell I've lived in the area for over 28 years. Bob
I work in a Command Center and I have to work all weekend. So I didn't get to see any foreworks last night. But I still had a great 4th because I got to spend the day with my kids and even the ex. I am at work now. I agree with all of the sentiments posted above. Even with all of the problem going on in our country it is still a great place. I still want our boys home.
