At home! question about "movement"
You may not have anyting in there to pass.
Just keep moving, I found that it helped with all the gas feelings.
They do pump you full of gas as part of the surgery, so some of what you are feeling cold be related to that.
I think it was several days before I had a bm after my surgery.
Just keep your doc informed if it starts to drag on.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
Initially they are few and far between. My first was maybe day 3 or 4 and it was very soft. stayed that way for the 2 weeks, then it juist stopped and constipation kicked in, Now I take an over the counter softner daily to stay somewhat regular. My theory is its from not putting so much crap in your body, you get prteina dn nothing else really so there little "waste" unlikne before.
After your bowels have been manipulated, it takes them a while to start moving again. Soon you will be farting again (the old fashioned kind as well as the locker room kind), a good sign, if you don't have a bowel movement in a couple of days, call your Doc's office and see how long they want you to go and how to handle it if your body needs a little encouragement. My Doc was very specific about what I can and can not take for constipation.
Good Luck

I was like you bloated three days out, Doc had me take Milk of Magnesia worked like a charm. Then the constipation set in a little later now I too take the over the counter stool softener. Don't freak out but you probably will pass a lot of old blood which pooled inside you the first few times. But damn you'll feel better. C'ya Bob
