New guy checking in
Hey guys I am set for my RNY on July 23rd. Im a 37 y.o. husband and father to a 3 y.o. daughter who acts like she's going on 10. I retired from my former career and just finished my BSN and passd my state boards so I can officially say that I'm an RN now as well. Hoping some of you bypass vets will help mentor some of us young pups through this new way of living. Since school is finally finished I plan to contribute here if I am tolerated.
Greetings and welcome! You'll be "tolerated" as long as you don't bring any drama into the Locker Room and refrain from getting into any sort of a ******g match with anybody over their type of WLS. RNY vs DS vs. Band vs. VSG etc. We recognize each person's right to their choice of surgery. If a female post and you can help her - do it in a PM! Attempts are made to keep this a male domain and a female will get chastised for entering. We have a decent crew in here and everybody helps everybody out so feel free to pitch in any time!
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
Welcome to the Men's Board!
Cool, another guy here from Southeast Bariatrics!
We've got a handful.
Who knows, you folks can meet up at a Support Group one night!
I'm just down the road a piece from Memphis.
Jump on in with any thoughts or questions.
A great bunch of guys here
Happy to share their experiences.
Congratulations on passing your state boards.
Best Wishes-

Welcome, and I wish you the best. By making this decision, you have started to turn your life around. It will not be all roses, but if you do your work and follow the doctors orders, it is not as bad as you have imagined. Read a lot, learn from others and get ready for a whole new life.
Best regards,
Lou
