Clothes suck

So a little over a month ago, i put on a new pair of jeans that I had in my closet that were two sizes too small when I was at my heaviest.  When I tried them on, I was like wow, they fit... they're a bit tight but I can break them in...  I say to myself... these should last like 2-3 months I hope.  But noooo...  5 weeks later, they're starting to droop and barely hang off my butt.  I pull the waist away from my body and I can pretty much stick my arm through it.  I mean thats great and all that i'm shrinking but it would be easier if we could just stay at home through our rapid weight loss stage and run around naked....haha...screw the damn clothes.  Luckily I live near a outlet mall so I can get jeans for about $20-30...

Let's wait till we're pretty close to goal before we start running around naked hahahha. I am having just about the same issue, actually. I had bought some Old Navy jeans a few years ago and they were snug on me then even (the Navy is biased to fat ppl apparently lol) but now when I try them on they fit really well and even are loose. So I know that feeling of finding old clothes you thought you'd never wear again and then bam they're too big now haha.

"running around naked" This little quote from you gave me an awsome new goal.. Hmmmmm. Not this year maybe not for another 2...  But, give me time a couple hundred pounds and a body lift and we'll seriously think about it............. There is a nude beach in GA I've heard about.. Hmmmm..

Absolutely.  It's a good feeling though isn't it. If you aren't picky about brand name, I found some being closed out at Wal-mart $3.00 a pair. I don't mind only wearing them for a couple weeks at that price. Scott

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!

I bought some jeans that have an elastic waist band and come in 6x, 5x,... sizes.  Hopefully they will last a little longer.  And at my size I still wear my shirts untucked so the waist band is covered.

Mr Doc tells me that for situations like yours, the belt is man's best friend - Who cares if pants are baggy, as long as they stay up?

Also, the land of the free is also the land of the spectrum of clothes sizes at WalMart at super cheap prices - Take advantage of this!

A bit of a hijack here ... For all my American friends on this board - Happy 4th of July tomorrow! We will be celebrating with you in beautiful Wisconsin!

Suspenders were my friend. I had a period of “Old-Rodeo-Clown-Pants” and held them up with suspenders. It was a "Look." Don’t buy much till you hit goal weight. Then you’ll be amazed at cheep stuff is When you can buy off a clearance rack. No more “Catalogue Orders” from- Big & Tall, BigDog, KingSize, CasualMale, etc… I still get the catalogues, and happily toss them in the trash! Best Wishes- Dx

Yeh it happens real fast.  What others have told me, I'll pass on...during the rapid weightloss look into getting clothes from the Salvation Army or Goodwill Store for a few months.  Also ask friends, coworkers, and family for old clothes.  If your going to be in them for a few weeks, why spend the big bucks.  Don't be like me...spending $200. in clothes (thinking I was finished losing) and then having to give them away a few weeks later.  Brian   PS I'm wearing my nephew's jeans as I write.  Had them since about 4 months post op.
