For all Canadians on The Men's Forum!

Capricious; Impulsive, Semi-Predictable
OK, Curious…
So is it Grilling out, swatting mosquitoes, and enjoying a few beers?
And some parades for the kids (like our 4th of July?)
Or more like Labor Day?- (Stay home and rent DVD’s)
I’ve been in Toronto for a few Caribana Festivals
(each time over a week of festivities)
and those are serious “Throw-Downs” as parties go.
How ever you celebrated the Day,
I hope it was a good one!
Best Wishes-
Dx
Capricious; Impulsive, Semi-Predictable
It is usually some throw down parties at peoples houses in the community there are parades and we do some serious fireworks in the city centers. It is very much like your 4th of July.We grill out in the parks and we definitely have mosquitos to swat.(Not just this weekend)I have to say Caribana is much larger though.I am sad to say actually that a celebration of an individual culture in Canada overtakes the actual celebration of the birth of our country. We need to reclaim it as a celebration of every culture that makes up the country of Canada. Then we could actually be Canadian not individual groups or cultures living within geographical areas.Sorry got off on a rant there. And thank you again for the Canada Day wishes.
Thank you ro remembering us Dx.
To celebrate or Canada day we went to this festival and had the following:
Polish sausage,
Brussel sprouts,
Belgian waffles,
Greek salad,
Turkish delight,
Russian salad,
French fries,
Spanish onions
etc.. etc...
and a lot of "Molson Canadian" Beer. We drunk the kegs dry.
We were supposed to go and see fireworks tonight but I don't think any one of us is in any shape to go out again.
Have a good rest of Canada Day and a Happy 4th of July to everyone,
George L.
