Anyone else have a hard spot next to their incision?  It's about 3" x 4" and very hard...just underneath the skin...about 1" below my chest bone, right of my big ole scar...nothing on the opposite side... Showed it to my surgeon and he said to just keep an eye on it and if it starts hurting to let him know. He didnt think it was a hernia because he asked me to "push" like i was droppin a deuce and he said it wasnt protruding so it shouldn't be a hernia... Scar tissue maybe? Will it go away?

Most common I’ve seen out here is a hernia.  But if the doc didn’t think that was it (yet) then give it time.  Maybe a small seroma?  I had one of those after my Abdominal Reconstruct surgery and it took for-freekin-ever to go away…. It also didn’t hurt or “pooch-out” more if I ‘beared-down.’  It did finally re-absorb into my body.   Next time you talk with the doc, ask – “If not hernia? What is it?”  Chances it could be seroma.  Or Not…. Keep the doc on top of it.

Its kind of shocking that he told you if it hurt to call him.. He must not be that worried about it. I would LISTEN TOO HIM.. and if even if it doesnt hurt ask him again upon your next appointment. Hernias wont hurt at the onset.. Hurt I'm pretty sure means that you've waited to long..
