The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In
June 29th!

...just in your first weeks home? Hang in there, It DOES GET EASIER! .... just hitting your first stall?
It happenes to many....
Scan back over the last months of this weekly post,
And you’ll get a fairly clear picture of the fact
that there isn’t a "Typical" progress,
Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!

Yes, using the scales can make some crazy,
(Slower loss is Still Loss!)
-But-
Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!"
Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss.
I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more
If the numbers climb just a little.
That way,
I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine.
If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?"
Then STAY OFF of Them!

But for those who Are weighing in-
Drum roll--------------------------------------

Hop your Azz up on the Scales!

How much have you lost?
Since Surgery?
Or in Pre-Op Diet?

And has the Scale moved this week for you?
If so, How Much?

My Starting Weight? – 385 +
All Time Low – 179

Me?-
184
So, What about YOU?

Best Wishes-Mike Wazowski

Wow.. it has been awhile for me.  Surgery date 8/15 2006. Weight then... 320... Weight today... 227 Living... in Colorado now... not Wisconsin.... Married...Was single..... Turning 37 next week, thankfully not weighing 320. Ever... ever again :)  And damn if I can't find a size 35 for my pants...but.. a belt works for me better than 42's that cut off my lower circulation. I'll shut up now.  Thanks for all the support.  I'll try to stop back more often.

Congratulations to all on continuing the successful journey. Thanks  Dx for providing a format by which we can celebrate each other's success stories. I only weigh twice a month but I did weigh on my seven month surgiversary which was last Thursday morning. And then I cheated and weighed again Friday morning because I took an amazing three-flush **** Thursday night right before I went to bed.  Highest known weight (10/31/07): 455 lbs  Day of Surgery (11/26/07): 442 lbs - Waist = 67" Last Month (5/26/08): 303.4 lbs - Waist = 52" Thursday (6/26/08): 292.4 lbs - Waist = 50.5" Friday (post-childbirth): 291.0 lbs I guess that would be a total loss of about 164 lbs. About 80 more to get to goal, so 2/3 of the journey has been completed with the steepest 1/3 left to go. I'm glad that my mental state is improving along with my physical state as I go along.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.

It's easy to lose weight when you are eating less than your 8 year old. Surgery:  8/20/07  Weight:  388 5 of last 10 mos. in hospital, 6 mos. - NPO Tube feeding only Began eating 5/24/08, eating is a biotch learning curve, am nauseous every other day. This morning 6/28/08:  197 Total weight loss thus far:  191 pounds gone and I fully expect to be death warmed over soon if I don't stop losing.  I try to eat 3 times a day but damn not very much and some even come up.  I learned the hard way:  DON'T DRINK WITH YOUR MEALS!!!

Preaching this morning at a Baptist Church, and marrying one of my 'Methodists' there after the services.
