stomache ache's
Not a Dr., but at 3 weeks out I don't think you will/should have any feeling in your stomach or pouch. It should take months for the feeling to return after all the cutting. Is it possible that you are not feeling the stomach but a close muscle or area that was at an incision spot?
I would definately touch base with your surgeon if you feel that there is something not right.
Good luck and take care.

Your experience matches mine; I had no sensation of being full for the first few weeks while eating -- since I was on all liquids (clear for 2 weeks, then full liquids for 2 weeks), they go right through the pouch and don't fill it up. Actually, I had been a little concerned about the same thing during the first few weeks.
The first time I felt the size of my pouch was about 3 weeks out, after taking my daily medication (largish capsules) and chasing it with too much water (old habits!) Pills stuck in the stoma, water dropped on top, and WHAM! Thought I was going to puke but managed not to... but hung over the sink spitting saliva for about 10 minutes waiting for the water to leak through, the pills to dissolve, and the pain to stop.
Now I'm much more careful with my pills... giving sufficient time between each one and only a little sip of water.
I'm on pureed foods now, and depending on the consistency they can fill me up if I'm not being careful. Don't worry... you'll find that pouch eventually...
