Here I go again

After many months of seeing if I could lose my excess weight the "conventional" way, I'm going to re-connect with the bariatric surgeon's office I started with. I've gone through with many of the tests that are required, saw a nutritionist for 3 months, and did much research (a lot here) before getting "cold feet" about the whole thing.
I feel as though I'm dieing a slow death as I eat myself into feeling worse and worse. I do, however, realize there are many worse off than me. At 5' 6" and 235 many of you here might consider me only pleasantly plump. My obesity isn't affecting me in the debilitating way some can attest to. I am still reasonably active for 49, but I can't stand the way I feel or look. Maybe its because I've been to the "promised land" of feeling and looking good before and the contrast of then and now is so dramatic.
I unfortunately have to deal with a spouse who doesn't understand why I just don't lose weight the way she has witnessed me do in the past. I realize I'm just rambling here, but I've seen (through this forum) the successes of people who pursued this option at the same time as I began considering WLS. Almost everone has made great progress while I continue to feel like **** while I wait around (scared as hell) to see if this is right for me.
Anyway, I'm about to call Dr. Bonanni's office as soon as I get off the computer to see where I am as far as continuing to pursue a surgical solution to my obesity problem. Thanks for listening and any comments are welcome.

You will be assimilated, resistance is futile.
While I had a mildly rocky start, most of it emotional, I can truly say this was the 3rd best decsion I have ever made.
Wife and Son are 1 & 2 in no particular order.
WLS is # 3.
Good luck with your decision and while It isn't an instant fix, it's about as close as you can get to one.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
Sonny, Sorry you’ve had a rough time of it. While jumping through the hoops to get a WLS, Keep up the struggle. Then, once you add the Bariatric aspect, It’ll just be switching gears Rather than taking off from a cold start. Yes? Hollar out if you have specific questions. Hope it all works out for you this time around! Best Wishes- Dx
