An Idea On Dealing With Women Posting In The Men's Forum

I agree with the silent treatment for the threads actually started by a woman. The only problem is when they start posting inside of other threads in here...

What I don't care for is some of the rude responses some of us guys throw out there. I don't really want them in here as much as the next guy (plenty of other forums for them to post in) but I don't think we have to be outright rude to every single one of them. Keeping it non-responsive is a much subtler way of getting the message across that they're not welcome. Of course if they still don't get it we'll be forced to pull out the big guns.

been there done that brian. believe me, we have tried every single approach in the spirit of being a gentleman, pc and respect for others in OH. no way. doesn't work. in the few years i've been here only one approach works. be a flaming ahole and rip and shred. they never come back after that. i'll say it again. IT'S NEVER AN ACCIDENT when they post here. EVER! it's a game. enough guys have had it out with the biggest aholes on the planet from tuna town and told them to just PM them instead of bringing it in here. paul is right, they have already told a guy on the main board about the site and they know about using pm if they feel that strong they have to talk to us. that's how every single women i've met on this board contacts me! not hard and we're great friends.

i'll also say it again, i don't think any of us get any pleasure out of being abusive when they post but it's the only thing that keeps them from coming back in. i'm not a caveman, i just want this site free from blather and bull**** if i want that, easy, main board. btw, does my ass look fat in these pants?

Since you do have a longer history here than I do, you know better than I do. I take back what I said then...carry on gentlemen.

hey brian, last thing i want to do is speak for anyone let alone supress opinions. the time may come when everyone gangs up on me, baja, paul and all the others who want this board to stay the way it was when we first came and change it to except women. i'll go with the democracy. if i want to stay then fine but wouldn't if it came to that. so no smashing ideas here. however, being a site for men you have to expect that we'll get in each others grill from time to time but unlike the main board-where they get pissy just not responding to your post fast enough-we guys can have it out and be friends in the next 5 minutes.

so please state your feelings and feel free to call me any name in the book. i'm not the leader or some kind of yoda here. i reserve that title for Dx whom you'll notice does not lower himself to these responses because he's an adult! i'll just keep doing my childish antics from time to time and would invite you to do the same. btw, your idea of ignoring them is first rate......carbonblob

Damnit!!!  I wish my parents had named me Angus. That's got to be the coolest ******g name ever.  Plus, I grew up in a town named Hereford. How cool would that have been to be named Angus and to hail from Hereford.
