i've got a question
Pretty much. We don't flame women who come and lurk, or ask VERY well-structured questions.
I will warn you, however. Women have been tared and feathered, roasted on a spit, flamed, banished to outer Mongolia and many other horrible ends for posting ANYTHING having to do with trolling, meeting men, drama, estrogenic bull**** or other inappropriate things.
Women are NOT banished for: asking honest questions about the male variety of surgery experiences (be prepared for crudeness, though), or asking support for a male friend / mate.
Basicall, leave any form of dating / trolling / drama elsewhere and you'll be ok.
But, if you get to feeling too welcome...you'll want to go elsewhere. General stuff is for the General Board, this is the men's room.

Trolling is what some people do to find internet dates. They surf along viewing pictures and reading profiles (like slowly fishing: trolling) looking for things that entice them. Then they post things like: I'm looking for a date..I'm a (fill in the blank). They have often tried to use the men's forum as a dating service.
For this and other related reasons you may notice that many men have posted things like "very happily married" etc on their profiles. You'd be surprised how often we get approached for these things. There's a singles page for things like that.
For reasons such as these, my fellow locker-mates can be quite...voracious at chasing women out of the locker room.

Guys...I'm very curious why many of us feel the need to go beyond a curtious "yes, this is a men's only spot...be aware that you'll be flamed" etc and jump right to the "Get the **** out, *****!"
I have to say that each time an unsuspecting woman posts something here, and the wave of responses mounts, I'm utterly embarrassed.
This lady asked a very simple question. "is there like totally no women allowed in here? ever?" why can't that be met the way most of you have posted?
In the future I propose a change. Why don't we post something like: "Your post is being ignored due to it's non-compliance with the Men's Board philosophy" and leave it at that. Don't reply over and over and over.
If this is a support group for WLS patients, lets do just that. Support people. We do an AMAZING job at it among our ranks. When uninformed people try to utilize our forum for non-sanctioned reasons, let's not tar and feather them. Just cordially send them on their way. They too, are patients in need of support. Why should we tear them down for treading on the wrong side of the gym?
And that's my $.02 /rant off
